Think you've got what it takes to design your own eco-clothing line or eco-chic home furnishings? Well, now is your chance to d.i.y and let that creativity flow. Show the makers of the legendary Singer sewing machine and the editors at boho magazine just how talented you are with your Singer, and 'Sew' us what you've got!
We are looking for non-professional or indi designers who want to design an eco-fashion or home collection. Tell us in 750 words or less why you think you or your friend (YES! You can nominate your friend) is a sustainable designer. Describe in detail to us your inspiration for your collection.
Winner Receives:
- A brand new Singer sewing machine (model tbd by singer)
- A 1-page promotion feature story in pages of boho magazine.
- A free 1-year subscription to boho magazine.
HERE'S HOW TO ENTER:

- Send us photos of 3-5 items you have conceptualized, designed and sewn with your current machine. Photos must be HIGH RESOLUTION (300 dpi or more). Please describe in detail and tell us what types of stitches and techniques were used for each piece.
- Tell us in 750 words or less about your collection (fashion or home). Give us specific details about what makes your collection 'green'. Tell us why you should win and what makes your collection so unique that it should be seen in an upcoming issue or online with boho magazine. *Be sure to list the types of stitches and techniques used in making your collection.
TERMS
Please limit the photo submission to 5 photos. Anyone sending more than 5 photos will not be qualified for the contest. Only submissions of 750 words or less will be considered. Please be as descriptive as possible. All entries must be sewn with a sewing machine, and stitches and techniques must be included to be qualified. Please do not use all types of characters when writing, and be sure to spell check and word count before submitting your entry, Photos must be HIGH RESOLUTION (300 dpi or more)
* assumes the rights and likeness to all photos and submissions for contest. This entry becomes exclusive to boho magazine and cannot be entered in any other contest or competition for a term of 1 year. All entries become property of boho magazine and will not be returned.
